Rengo International Film Festival
Presents its regulations for 2010 competition
The Illustrious Municipality of Rengo and its Department of Culture along with Artibus Sociocultural Association and Manchas Films, present the “VI Rengo International Film Festival 2010” financed by Fondo de Fomento Audiovisual, 2009 announcement, from the National Council for the Culture and Arts.
This event has as objective announce foreigner and Chilean filmmakers, provide them an space to disseminate their works and to compete with their peers. It also offers a significant opportunity for cinematographic appreciation among the audience who enjoy film in the country. Accommodated in one place: Rengo, in the Sixth Region of the General Liberator Bernardo O’Higgins, traditional scenario of this contest that on February 1st to 6th of 2010 will start its sixth version.
This year, the contest has six categories in the competition: International Feature-length Competition, International Short Film Competition, “Cinema Bicentenario” International Competition , National Documentaries Competition, “Escuelas de Cine” National Competition and Regional MicroCortos Competition.
During this year and due to the bicentenary and also as novelty, the category: “Cinema Bicentenario” International Competition is added- which will receive works originating from countries that fulfil the bicentenary between years 2009 and 2011, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Mexico, Paraguay and Venezuela, where audiovisual producers from America will be able to present works with a maximum running time of 30 minutes that have been registered between years 1910 and 2009.
The Official Selection will be a total of 10 Works in each category. Works must be sent in 2 DVD copies until Friday, 18th of December, 2009 at 17.00 hours for subsequent initial selection, the entry will be online.
